UPCOMING EVENTS: Calendar |
Sunday Work Parties
Sunday Work Parties and Vegan Potlucks
On the second Sunday of every month there is a flurry of activity
at Sasha Farm. It’s a day of love and labor for the animals.
You’ll be tired at the end of the day but you’ll have
great stories to tell and wonderful memories of your day with the
animals. You may even want to come back for more. Take a break from
your daily routine and reconnect with nature. All hands are welcome,
although children under age 16 must be supervised by a parent or
guardian at all times.
Check our calendar for dates and times. It helps our planning
if you let us know you are coming. Call us at 734-428-9617 or contact
us for driving directions and to RSVP.
For the Second Sunday Work Party come anytime
after 10:30 am and stay as long as you like. Bring a vegan dish
to share. If you have one, please bring a copy of your recipe and
it may be featured on our blog! Our Board of
Directors has a meeting until approximately noon and during that
time volunteers get a start on the daily animal care. We work on
larger projects until 3 or 4 pm, break for dinner, and then back
to work. How long we work depends on what needs to be done, the
weather, and when the sun sets.
