Who's the SASHA resident who makes the volunteers shake in their Muck boots? It's Thor!
Thor and his parents came to us two years ago from a family who could no longer tolerate his naughty behavior. He had begun ramming his horns into their kneecaps, thighs and even their grandchildren. He needed a home where he could just live in a big pasture with other sheep, doing sheep things all day.
When he first arrived, it was clear he was NOT your typical sheepish sheep. He was assertive and bold, a take-charge kind of guy, but we thought, "Hey, he's only 50 pounds! How bad could he be?!"
A dozen or so bruised staff members and volunteers later, I'm here to tell you: He's pretty bad. Of course, that just makes him more popular around here. He's one of the first sheep return visitors ask about, and the stories of his sneak attacks are legend among the volunteers. Our Volunteer Orientation includes a special "Thor Conflict Avoidance" portion.
Do you know someone who might love sponsoring a character like Thor? Gift sponsorships are a great way to say "Happy Monday!"
