Interning at SASHA Farm

SASHA Farm is pleased to announce that we are reinstating our Internship Program.

An internship at SASHA Farm is an amazing opportunity to help us rescue, care for and advocate for the suffering victims of food animal production and unwanted companion animals.

Because the sanctuary is a non-profit organization with a limited budget, internships are conducted on a volunteer basis.

Interns assist with the daily tasks at SASHA Farm. This involves caring for the sanctuary residents and assisting with the administrative duties necessary to the operation of a 501c3 public charity. This may include animal care and medical treatment, giving tours of the sanctuary, computer work, marketing, fundraising, and sanctuary maintenance. Our internships give you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with many different aspects of farm animal and companion animal rescue and care. While the work at times may be physically demanding, you will also have the pleasure of spending a minimum pf 30 amazing days in the company of over 200 animals. We hope that your time with us will strengthen your belief in the rights of animals to live a life free of suffering.

Internships are open to individuals 18 years or older. Our program is designed to provide a unique experience for students and non-students interested in the field of animal rescue and care. We are particularly interested in students considering a career animal rescue or veterinary medicine.

We believe that a strong interest in animal rights, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are more important than academic qualifications and we expect to work with enthusiastic, mature, hard working people who will become an integral part of the working collective at SASHA Farm. All interns are required to live a vegan lifestyle during their commitment to the sanctuary.

Some colleges and universities allow internships to count towards course credits. Students should consult with their college advisor to determine if credit can be earned through a SASHA Farm Animal Sanctuary internship.

We accept applications year-round and review them as they arrive. Internships may be scheduled up to a year in advance.
