For the Animals

  1. Indoor/outdoor, non-upholstered, washable furniture for the cat barn
  2. Raccoon-sized live traps to discourage uninvited guests in the barns
  3. Clumping kitty litter
  4. Food: Fresh baled hay, grain (oats, corn, chicken feed), bird seed. Produce: Almost all fruits and vegetables (not onions, and fruit with large pits) Favorites are apples, carrots, unsalted peanuts in the shell, and dried fruit
  5. Straw
  6. Water troughs
  7. Livestock trailer
  8. Blankets for the dogs and cats
  9. Horse supplies (grooming supplies, halters, lead ropes, etc.)
  10. Metal mouse-proof garbage cans for food storage
  11. Basic laboratory microscope
  12. Digital kitchen scale
  13. Sponges, scrub brushes, steel wool, etc. for cleaning animal dishes
  14. Grooming scissors
  15. Dog treats (No rawhide, pig ears, or other animal-derived treats, please!)
  16. Vegetarian dog food
  17. Barn fans
  18. Heartworm and flea preventative for the dogs and cats
  19. Fly control items for the horses and cows (repellent, masks, wicks, etc.)
  20. Power generator with electric starter - SASHA Farm periodically loses electricity. When we don't have power, we don't have water for the animals.

 

Office Supplies and Administration

  1. Stamps and envelopes
  2. Thermal laminating pouches up to 11x17
  3. Printer paper (white and colors)
  4. Color copier
  5. Newer fax machine
  6. Pre-paid gas cards
  7. Large storage cabinet for merchandise
  8. Metal locking wall cabinet for animal medications
  9. Office supply store gift certificates

 

Barn Maintenance

  1. Lumber, plywood, nails
  2. Fence posts and fencing
  3. Power tools
  4. General tools (hammers, screwdriver, etc.)
  5. Painting supplies (brushes and rollers)
  6. Gently used shovels, rakes, pitch forks, hoes, and brooms
  7. Wheelbarrows and carts
  8. Ladders
  9. Duct tape

 

For the meeting room and for our volunteers

  1. Cloth towels and clean rags
  2. Cleaning supplies: Dish detergent, laundry soap, sponges, bleach, etc. (Cruelty-free, environmetally-friendly products only, please!)
  3. Paper towels and bathroom tissue
  4. Rubber boots in various sizes
  5. Tables and chairs for potlucks and food sorting
  6. Lawn furniture and picnic tables
  7. Electric golf cart
  8. Fire extinguishers
  9. Flashlights and batteries
  10. Heavy duty scissors
  11. Water cooler, bottled water or vegan refreshments for our dedicated volunteers!
