Our little Maria, formally known as Libby, came to SASHA as a three-week-old baby goat in July of 2022. She was born along with two siblings to an older goat on a hobby farm. Unfortunately, she had developed multiple leg issues that would be costly to treat. The owners were unable to pay for the medical care she needed. So, a few SASHA Farm employees made the trip to Traverse City, MI and picked her up. She made her way back to the sanctuary and was seen by our amazing vets the very next morning. After providing her with the proper splints to help her legs correct themselves, daily leg exercises, and lots of love, she was walking and running faster than any of the other goats at the sanctuary. Now, she is growing quickly and living a happy life with her two buddies Ollie and Billy Bob.
