Sam, Gibby, and Mamma June (who sadly passed in 2024) came from a small family dairy and meat farm. Mamma June, due to her age and declining milk production, was destined for slaughter, while Gibby, a male unable to reproduce, faced the same fate. When our team learned of their situation, they knew they had to step in.
As they arranged to save June and Gibby, they discovered that their close companion, Sam, was also set to be auctioned off. Unable to bear the thought of breaking up this little family—or what would happen if they didn’t intervene—they pleaded with the owner to let all three goats come to SASHA Farm. Thankfully, the owner agreed, and the trio made their way to safety.
Tragically, we lost sweet Mamma June this past year due to medical complications. She had the kindest soul and is deeply missed. But her boys, Sam and Gibby, are thriving. Now all grown up, they remain as gentle and loving as ever, spending their days frolicking in the pasture with their goat friends. These two are an absolute joy, and we’re so grateful they found their way home.
