As we step into a new chapter at SASHA Farm, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible support we’ve received—especially during this challenging transition. Your past support has been invaluable, and we wouldn’t have made it this far without you. This year has brought significant changes and challenges that have tested our resilience, but our community, including you, has stood by us through it all.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE for the SASHA Farm Animal Residents – CAN YOU HELP?

Do you want to make a difference in the lives of animals? This is your opportunity. We are currently looking for volunteers for the shifts below:

Administrative Assistant for SASHA Farm

Looking for a part time job in a beautiful country setting? SASHA Farm provides a lifetime home to over 200 farm animals who have been rescued from abuse, neglect, abandonment, or for other reasons. We need an energetic person with proven organizational and office skills, who can work onsite in Manchester Michigan for 3 days (with a maximum of 24 hours) per week. The applicant must have excellent, proven skills in Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Documents, and experience in creating social media posts, working with images, and more. After a 3-month training period, the job could lead to a permanent position with more days and higher salary.

2021 - The YEAR of LAZURUS at SASHA Farm

Many of you have followed the story of Lazurus and how he came to SASHA Farm this year. We, at the sanctuary, have claimed 2021 as the year of Lazurus. Everyone at SASHA believes that he has been an incredible gift, not only to SASHA Farm, but also to all who struggled throughout this unprecedented year of the Covid pandemic. His difficult expedition home to SASHA turned into a positive one, where he will always have warmth, friendship, food, safety, and medical care. Laz’ days will be filled with loving kindness until his life’s journey at SASHA reaches its natural end. He will never again fear for his life or suffer from lack of water and food. He will never have to shake and cower in fear as humans take bets on how much his remains would sell for.
